Robert John Keiber will come to your site. All workshops begin with a general introduction of behavioral and communication principles: The Basic Seminar: 1. What causes fear of public speaking. 2. How to use fear to energize your presentations. 3. What is the basic communication process. 4. How to think and speak in pictures. The Basic Workshop: After the lecture on behavioral and communication principles, Mr. Keiber will work with presenters, one to one with a variety of simple exercises to help them overcome their anxiety, use their fear and finally eliminate distracting elements in their speaking styles. Participants will also explore basic outlining and preparation of a short speech, and move toward a final presentation. Exercises using standard communication models to speak in pictures. 1. How to tell a joke 2. How to read a poem to an audience, 3. Short info-commercial concerning the importance of your particular topic. 4. Writing and outlining a short presentation - 5 minutes. 5. Presenting the short presentation Advanced: 1. How to effectively stand and move on the stage. 2. How to effectively gesture on stage. 3. How to set up the stage for speaking and using visuals. 4. Most effective use of Powerpoint while speaking. Presenters will be video taped to show their improvement and reinforce their overall personal style. The participants will keep their own videotape to review and serve as a personal tutorial before future speaking engagements. Mr. Keiber's book FEAR IS GOOD will be available to all participants at a discounted price. Individual coaching is also available.
